Franz streamlines all your chat and social media services
Managing multiple chat and messaging services can be a rather unpleasant experience as you’ll need to juggle between applications on your smart device and opened windows on your computer. Thankfully, an application called Franz is able to streamline your social media experience for you.
Named after Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria, Franz is a free application that allows you to monitor a myriad of social network services and even your emails in a single window. Some of the services supported by Franz include; popular messaging-apps like WhatsApp and Skype, gaming-centric chatrooms like Steam Chat and Discord, and even ancient internet relay chat services like ICQ.

In order to set up Franz, all you need to do is to select a service from the list provided and follow the instructions on screen.
- All of your active services will be shown as tabs and the application will notify you of any new activity.
- There are no limits as to how many services Franz can track, so you add as many accounts to the application as you want.
- You can even add multiple instances of a single service, so if you have two WhatsApp accounts, you can add both of them to Franz.
For those who are security-conscious, Franz does not monitor any of your conversations or communications, so your privacy will not be compromised. Franz also introduces new services to the application every so often, so if your social network service of choice is yet to be available on the application right now, it may be available in a future update.
