What’s Conflux?
Conflux is a high-performance decentralized blockchain that uses a unique Tree-Graph consensus mechanism that allows blocks and transactions to be processed in a parallel way. This feature gives Conflux greater speed and scalability than coins that process blocks one-by-one (like Bitcoin, Ethereum).
Conflux also features ShuttleFlow, a fast asset-to-network bridge that enables seamless asset transfer across multiple protocols.
Now that we know the details about Conflux, let’s create a wallet!
Creating a wallet
The first thing you need before you start mining Conflux is a wallet. With the wallet, you can send and receive CFX and keep track of your balance. But the most important thing for us why we need a wallet is to get a wallet address in order to start mining. Without it, you won’t be able to mine!
To make wallet creation really easy to understand, here is a step by step tutorial for you. So, let’s begin!
Step 1. Add the Fluent wallet extension
Add the Fluent Wallet extension for the browser of your choice. It is available for Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge.
Step 2. Set a password for your wallet
Click on the extension icon and set a password for your wallet.
Step 3. Create a new seed phrase
You need to create a New Seed Phrase which are some words separated by space.
Step 4. Name your seed phrase group
Name your Seed Phrase Group according to your choice and then click Next.
Step 5. Note down your Seed Phrase
Write down your Seed Phrase so that you don’t lose it as you’ll be needing it later.
Step 6. Arrange the Seed Phrase
Arrange the words the way they were numbered
Step 7. Copy your wallet address
Final part. Copy your wallet address (we’ll need it later). To do this, click on the copy button (two overlapping sqares) at the top.
Start Mining CFX
