How to Mine FLUX Coin Using GPU

Flux is a GPU-mineable coin that is completely decentralized thanks to FluxNodes, which is located worldwide on enterprise-class hardware.

Like other GPU-mined currencies, Flux uses the Proof-of-Work (PoW) consensus mechanism. But the biggest advantage of Flux is the ZelHash algorithm, which provides ASIC and FPGA resistance to avoid excessive hash power centralization.

So, in this guide, I will show you how to mine Flux with your GPU. Do note that this will only work in Windows and Linux.

Start mining flux

Flux mining is really easy; follow the instructions below to get started.

Step 1 – Create a wallet

Download the official Flux wallet and then simply follow the instructions to create your own wallet.

Step 2 – Install mining software – GMiner

Download and extract the archive to the desired folder.

Step 3 – Edit the .bat file.

After extracting the archive, you should notice different batch files. Find the mine_zelcash.bat file in the folder and right-click on this file, then select Edit.

Step 4 – Enter configuration settings

Once you’ve opened the .bat file, you just need to enter the following configuration settings.

Settings for Gminer:

miner.exe --algo 125_4 --server YOUR_MINING_POOL --port PORT_OF_YOUR_MINING_POOL --user YOUR_WALLET_ADDRESS.WORKERNAME pause

Step 5 – Choose a mining pool

For the majority of users solo mining is not quite profitable so you need to select a mining pool from this link and pick the one that suits you best.

Now, simply replace YOUR_MINING_POOL and PORT_OF_YOUR_MINING_POOL with the address of the mining pool that you’ve chosen.

Step 6 – Enter a wallet address

If you can’t find the wallet address in your account, simply click on the FLUX coin on the FLUX wallet app and then click the Receive button. There you will find your wallet address.

So now just replace YOUR_WALLET_ADDRESS with your own wallet address.

Step 8 – Start mining

Lastly, save the changes and run the file to start mining FLUX coins right now!
